New York Delivers is a coalition of delivery service partners, businesses, and workers committed to protecting last-mile delivery—the system that keeps essential goods moving, neighborhoods connected, and everyday life affordable across all five boroughs.
ABOUT US
What is New York Delivers?
Every day, last-mile delivery ensures New Yorkers get the essentials they rely on, like groceries, medicine, household goods, and supplies for local businesses. Behind every delivery is a network of local entrepreneurs, drivers, warehouse workers, and small business owners who live and work in our communities.
New York Delivers—powered by the Five Borough Jobs Campaign—was formed to make sure our local elected leaders understand what’s at stake. Proposed legislation at City Hall will put jobs at risk, raise costs for working families, and make it harder for small businesses—especially in the outer boroughs—to survive.
We believe New York can modernize and improve delivery infrastructure without sacrificing affordability, flexibility, or local jobs. Protecting last-mile delivery means protecting working New Yorkers and the communities they serve.
Our Coalition Includes:
Small Businesses
New regulations would force many of New York City’s small, locally owned delivery businesses to shutter. Learn more HERE
Workers
An estimated 10,000 jobs across the city’s delivery industry could be at risk if Intro 518 passes. Learn more HERE.
National Carriers and Trade Groups
Large companies and trade organizations – including Amazon, and the Trucking Association of New York – support the coalition because the bill would directly affect their ability to meet consumer demand in a timely, affordable, and reliable way. Learn more HERE.
Pro-Jobs and Small Business Organizations
All five New York City Chambers of Commerce and other civic and business organizations are concerned about the bill’s impact on jobs, small businesses, and commercial corridor congestion. Learn more HERE.
